I second Beth’s post. It was inspiring to be part of the first Beyond 2020 event. Thanks everyone for the bounty of fresh ideas and genuine dialogue. Together, we can create more fulfilling, sustainable lives. If anyone would like to continue dialogue about sustainability practices for small businesses, connect with me at amim09@gmail.com.
P.S. Kudos to Brad at Beam for providing the incredible space. The buildling’s authentic beauty and purpose made the whole event even more powerful. Looking forward to regrouping in January!

Comment from a homepage post:
Elizabeth Johnstone said, “Peter – what a great event, and how validating to know that there are like-minded individuals and business owners interested in collaborating in this fashion. I very much look forward to the next event. For those who are interested in collaborating in my cooperative marketing venture, please contact me at erosejohn@gmail.com (will hopefully have the website and business email set up soon.) Thanks again and looking forward to coffee!”

Great: Intent, spirit, space, timing, food, online communication from organizers, quality of people and conversations, how I felt afterwards
Ideas for next time: Following some open space rules of thumb for ease, clarity and added energy; developing a more specific overarching theme, perhaps in the form of answering a compelling and current question; and consider pricing the event around $20.
A big thanks to all who helped put it on!
